We are super excited to announce that we have another fantastic locally hand made product on offer, recycled shotgun casings crafted in to beautiful cufflinks in three styles - Brass detail, Sterling Silver and 24ct Gold Plate.

Here we will introduce you to the immensely talented James Baker (picture left)

Where did you study?

Bangor University reading History and loved every miniute of it!

Where did you learn to make cufflinks?

Whilst at university I enjoyed my Saturday job at a small family owned and run jewellers. I had always been very practical making and repairing things, however during my time here I learnt some of the specific techniques employed by jewellers.

What inspired you to make them?

I enjoy my country persuits of fly-fishing, huntinng and shooting. I had seen a few cufflinks aimed at shooters (and others in the country community) but they had always looked to me a bit 'cheap' and possibly made in China! So not fancying them, one afternoon I made a pair for myself and was pleased with the result.

What would you say to others wishing to be creative?

To anyone else wishing to be creative. Do what you enjoy, your enthusiasm shall shine through and you will be successful!

What are your plans for the future?

I am hoping to go back to University next year to read International Relations at Cambridge and all being well more study at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
